WET MATERIAL IMPACTS ENERGY EFFICIENCY
When building materials such as insulation and drywall get
wet, they allow 150% more energy to pass through, according to
the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Building Technology Center
in Tennessee.
WARN WORKERS ABOUT DANGEROUS CHEMICALS You may
want to have your employees check your storeroom for products
that contain the chemical n-hexane. The Centers for Disease
Control (CDC) recently reported repeat exposure may affect
workers' motor skills.
N-hexane is commonly found in degreasers, glue removers,
parts cleaning solutions and paints. CDC also reported
symptons generally improve after exposure has stopped, so you
may want to limit workers'exposure if they must use the
chemical. |
